--> Teal Hair.
Do you know, by any chance, if olive oil would work the same as coco or argan in protecting from bleaching and recovering the hair's health?

Plenty of people use olive oil, you just approach it differently.
A quarter of a cup of warmed olive oil massaged into rinsed and pat dried hair. After pat dry wrap the hair in glad wrap or a plastic bag for an hour or so. After that just rinse and shampoo!

There are other methods just a google away.

Cool! Thank you :)

No problemo, chicka!

Hey! I was just wondering, do I just do a similar thing as you when I re-dye my hair? Shampoo, dry, put dye in?

Yep!

Could you share your hair care regime please? Thank you! :)

I shampoo my hair then I dry it, apply dye to my head and wait for 30min - hour. Then I wash it out, sometimes I also condition it (if the dye wasn’t in abundance or if my hair feels dry). After I get out of the shower I sometimes apply argan oil.

wasn't trying to be rude or patronizing, my apologies. Definitely should have phrased that differently.

That’s fine.
It just annoys me when it’s suggested that I’m unaware or giving bad advice.
The reason I would not personally use a red toner to get a leas teal or green colour is because it completely neutralises the green and I’ve received some pretty yuck purple/grey/blues out of doing so.
Purple shampoo isn’t as harsh and because it’s mainly to combat going green with fading it works really well, or so it has for me.

As the previous asked so rudely highlighted. I am not a hairdresser, I do however have the colour hair this blog is centred around and I achieved it myself. I’ve had it for a year now and I think that really, when it comes down to colouring your hair unnatural colours with semi permanent dye you don’t NEED to be a hairdresser, you just need common sense.
I get a lot of asks about dying over brown hair, common sense dictates that would not work.
You would need to lighten your hair, THAT is when I advise seeing a hair dresser. The rest is like mixing paint!

purple shampoo neutralises yellow tones, not green. red neutralises green. check the colour wheel. <3 a hairdresser

Hahaha yes, it nuetrilises the yellow tones making your hair less green because when you take the yellow out of green you are left with… BLUE.
Don’t patronise me <3 a person who passed kindergarten.

What shampoo do you use? I heard about sulfates removing colour from hair, and before I even dye mine blue I want to know how you keep up with shampooing and keeping the colour not fading? Do you do anything special or just use regular shampoo or...?

Personally I don’t really bother with any special shampoos all that much. I do use colour stay shampoo but not expensive brands so I doubt it does anything. I advise just not using really cheap shampoo because it’s basically just soap. Using purple shampoo is good to stop colour going green!
To stop the fading you could put dye in your conditioner but that’s a bit of bother.
